Delaware Summer Concert Series To Check Out

Summer brings warm weather, beautiful nature, and plenty of opportunities to enjoy the outdoors together. The little ones are out of school on break and need something to do. Instead of packing up the car and sitting in beach traffic for hours, take a look into your own backyard to see the multitude of options your town or city might have. We’ve put together a list of mostly free family-friendly events to add to your 2024 Summer bucket list in and around Delaware.

If there’s a concert, venue or show we should know about let us know here.

Live In The Parks! Wilmington

For the better part of a decade Gable Music Ventures has taken pride in programming diverse and entertaining live music events in parks throughout the Wilmington area. Partnering with Friends of Wilmington Parks and Delaware State Parks to curate local music and culinary discovery, each event features artists and food from the area. Concerts are on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:30 pm to 8 pm. This year check out the lineups at Rockford Park and the Sugar Bowl Pavillion in Brandywine Park here.

Glasgow Park Newark

Glasgow Park in Newark is back with live music throughout the summer and a special farmers market of local and regional vendors and farmers. The series is held on Thursdays with gates open at 6 pm and music starting at 6:30 pm. Come early to order some grub from the featured food truck and fill your reusable tote bags with fresh produce and goods from the market. For more information and full line up visit here.

Summer Saturdays At Wilmington Brew Works

One of Delaware’s favorite breweries is shining a spotlight on their beer garden with their Summer Saturday’s concert series. Come hang out with some of the region's best musical acts at Wilmington Brew Works and enjoy some of their tasty concoctions from 6 to 9pm. Check out the website for a full line up here.

Delaware State Parks

For anyone looking for a place below the canal to enjoy some outdoor music and community time, many Delaware State Parks have live music throughout the summer including Trap Pond and Killens Pond. The park entry fee is still in effect during the musical events and times and lines vary but all that information can be found on their website here.
