Music Review: "Until We Find Our Way Back" by Cherry Park

Cherry Park is a 6-piece indie pop band from Delaware composed of Tori Davis (Lead vocals), Emma Harrison (guitar, vocals, synth), Jeremy Betters (guitar, vocals, percussion), Jared Harrison (bass), Marshall Smith (drums), and Caleb Betters (synth, percussion). Forming in 2023 this band has made the music hustle look easy, releasing 2 EPs in their first year and producing great turnout at local shows. They are keeping the momentum high with their latest release, a 7-song EP titled Until We Find Our Way Back

The album art is an open window to an enchanting cotton candy sky with the EP’s title dancing amongst the clouds. It’s a perfect precursor for where the EP is going to take you and was painted and designed by multi-talented lead singer of Cherry Park, Tori Davis. From the first track on the EP, an intro called “Forward”, you are primed for an elevated experience. The synth drones high and sustains under spoken word seeping into your psyche. Davis says “I need you to know there’s something that lasts” as the music climbs, pauses, and releases into a sweet sounding cacophony. Like the previous two EP’s, Until We Find Our Way Back gives you all your favorite bits of pop music like electric guitar, synthesizers, and catchy melodies, but has a layer of fresh eyes and maturing lyrics. Stream their music and follow them online to find where they’ll be performing next.
