Delaware might seem like a one dimensional state to some, but to those who know where to look, it offers a multi-cultural and multi-genre mecca for music. We’ve wrangled up a beautiful and diverse list of concerts for the next month of shows to look out for.

Oct 12 - Dario Acosta Teich at Arden Gild Hall
On October 12, virtuoso guitarist and composer from northern Argentina, Dario Acosta Teich, and his four-piece ensemble, premiere his new release Tierra Infinita (Infinite Homeland), a marriage of Argentine folk with modern jazz, at Arden Gild Hall. Featured in NPR Alt.Latino's Best New Music Round-Up in 2023 and praised by John Platt (WFUV) as "supremely talented" with an "irresistible fusion of jazz with Latin American influences,".

October 13 - Katy Pinke & Team Lift at Smalls Music Shop
Smalls Music Shop, located in Wilmington, Delaware, is opening its doors for live music events. Katy Pinke is a New York-based singer-songwriter and actor whose music is vulnerable, raw and relatable. Pinke’s latest music video features one of her paintings on an adventure that she wrote and directed herself in the spirit of DIY.
This all-ages show opens its doors at 5pm with music starting at 6pm with local band Team Lift as support. There will be a suggested donation at the door. For more information, visit the venue’s Facebook page here.
Oct 18 - Shemekia Copeland & Lower Case Blues at Elkton Music Hall
Award-winning blues, soul and Americana singer Shemekia Copeland is touring through the country and making a stop at Elkton Music Hall on October 18.
Copeland — winner of the 2021 Blues Music Award for B.B. King Entertainer Of The Year— connects with her audience on an intensely personal level, taking them with her on what The Wall Street Journal calls “a consequential ride” of “bold and timely blues.” NPR Music says Shemekia sings with “punchy defiance and potent conviction.” The Houston Chronicle describes her songs as “resilient pleas for a kinder tomorrow.”
Legendary Delaware blues trio, Lower Case Blues, will be opening up the night with their electrifying performance. Tickets and information are available on their website.
Oct 19 - Halloween Jam 2024 at The Kennett Flash
On October 19, Gingerfox Productions and The Kennett Flash are proud to present Halloween Jam 2024, a night of your favorite local bands playing as their favorite famous bands. You can expect costumes, great hangs, and the music community to raise funds for one of the region's favorite listening rooms. Oct 20 - Heather Mae & Natalia Zukerman at The Listening Booth
Social justice singer-songwriter and Ladybug Music Festival Alumni, Heather Mae, returns to the first state for a double bill with New York-born, Boston-based musician Natalie Zuckerman, at The Listening Booth on October 20. The Listening Booth offers a full bar and small bites to munch on while enjoying intimate shows in southern Delaware. For more information and tickets, visit here.
Oct 25 - JD Webb & The Good God Damn at Gallucio’s
If you’re looking for another place to show off your well plotted and planned Halloween costume look no further. J.D. Webb & The Good God Damn are putting on a gritty Americana show at Gallucio’s on October 25. A night full of dark country and community fun for all. Oct 25 - KMFDM at The Queen
Originally emerging from the European underground in the 1980s, Germany-bred KMFDM are bringing their industrial metal to The Queen on October 25 as a part of their 40th Anniversary tour. Their heavy techno music was a part of the industrial wave that crashed the mainstream in the ’90s alongside kindred spirits Nine Inch Nails, My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult, and Ministry. Oct 26 - PINK GUMBO 4 at The Wilmington Public Library
On Saturday October 26th, The Wilmington Public Library will be transformed into a hub of positivity and hope. Join host singer and local favorite personality Nadjah Nicole for an evening of music and community engagement with the purpose of raising awareness around Breast Cancer. The all-star line up includes some of the regions best including Gretchen Emery Band, Camille Johnson, Eriah Love, Maya Belardo, Paris Marie, Star The Songstress, Latoya Marie, Jamicka Bass with Soul Synthesis serving as the house band. Nov 8 - Chris English Duo for Delaware Friends of Folk
On November 8, Delaware Friends Of Folk welcome Chris English, a multidisciplinary musician specializing in blues guitar, vocals, harp, and stomp box, to Dover, Delaware, for a special duo performance at The State House. His Delta blues music has been winning over audiences around the country since 1996. His usage of vintage guitars from the 20's and '30's and stomp box made of an old coca-cola box are perfect for replicating the sound and feeling of classic blues, and transporting the audience into another time. Nov 7 - Las Migas at The Grand
The female-fronted band from Spain, Las Migas got their start in 2004 and had immediate success, playing festivals throughout Europe. Their 2016 album, Vente Conmigo, was nominated as The Best Flamenco Album at the 2017 Latin Grammy Awards. Their latest album, Rumberas, is their most luminous, joyful and daring work. It shows the heartbreaking side of love and life and is a tribute to women’s strength, nature and freedom. The songs feature new styles such as country, American pop and urban music, based on the Flamenco and Spanish music that have always characterized Las Migas and conferred their unmistakable uniqueness.
