Join us for live entertainment at Makers Alley featuring Too Tall Slim & The Guilty Pleasures.
Founded more than 10 years ago, Too Tall Slim & the Guilty Pleasures draws inspiration from music that was popular in the ‘60s and ‘70s. Consider roots/blues-based artists such as the Allman Brothers Band, Steely Dan, the Grateful Dead, Taj Mahal and Willie Dixon. Sets might also include tunes by Dire Straits, Big Head Todd and the Monsters, Tom Petty, the Doobie Brothers and even Billy Joel and Elton John.
The four-piece band includes more than a dozen original tunes in 10 different sets, which rotate so that fans get a fresh performance each time. The original songs, which mesh with the cover tunes, have been so well received that the band often opens a set or even the entire show with them to jumpstart the enthusiasm.
